Ricoh IP CW2200 & IM CW2200 Digital Large Format Colour Printers will benefit CAD users and users of large format documents.

Ricoh IP CW2200 & IM CW2200 Digital Colour Large Format Printers offer a flexible and responsive way to create CAD drawings & other large documents (A1/A0).

The compact IP CW2200 digital colour plotter allows for high-quality output to be produced quickly, easily and affordably. The next-generation printer has a compact footprint and produces CAD drawings from line drafts up to 3D renderings in bold colours.

Ricoh says this new addition to its portfolio of responsive wide-format printers answers the market’s increased demand for print-only systems.

The IM CW2200 wide-format multifunctional printer complements the IM CW2200 with scanning and copying capabilities for documents up A0 in size.

Ricoh’s new solution is more than a standard printing and scanning system. It acts as a secure document repository for technical files, which can be used to share work easily and boost productivity.

The next-generation systems were built to align with today’s architecture, engineering, manufacturing, and construction needs, as well as print rooms and government departments.

Henryk Kraszewski, Senior Product and Marketing Manager, Ricoh Graphic Communications, Ricoh Australia, says: “The Ricoh IP CW2200 colour wide format solution handles all high-quality oversized printing needs affordably.”

“The Ricoh IM CW2200 makes more accessible work of considerable precision CAD documents or CAD drawings with fast scanning and copying, and digitising projects with automated scanning capabilities.

“This means less time at the printer and more time focusing on projects,” says Kraszewski.

The printer can print at speeds of up to 2.1 ppm in full colour or 3.8 ppm in black andwhite.

Kraszewski continued: “Fast, easy to use and they boost productivity.”

“Their versatility enables them to meet varied application needs and reduce outsourcing while costs can be reduced through labour savings.

“Environmentally friendly operation makes them an attractive operation for eco-conscious businesses, too.

“These benefits combine to offer clients a highly productive system that cost-efficiently responds to changing demands,” says Kraszewski.

The Ricoh IP CW2200 & IM CW2200 are equipped with several new features to meet the needs of today’s users.

There are also new features such as a Smart Operation Panel, which has an intuitive colour touchscreen and can scan and print documents at speeds up to 35mm/s in colour or up to 106mm/s in monochrome.

These innovative printers are equipped with a stack tray capable of holding up to 10 A1 sheets and a paper roll automatic setting which can store 175m rolls and print documents up 33 metres long. This eliminates the need for manual feeding of the paper.

Both systems offer other benefits:

  • Ricoh’s variable dot GEL-Jet Ricoh Piezo print heads and innovative GELJET pigment-based inks enable high image quality for precise detail. This produces UV- and water resistant output that dries fast for immediate indoor or outdoor use.
  • The permanent print heads reduce the total cost of ownership by reducing the number of replacements.
  • Flexible production for increased efficiency powered by Ricoh’s open architecture USB SD Card workflow. Data can be entered from various sources, such as a USB drive, web tool or standard printer driver.
  • The printers are environmentally friendly when they use the Ink-Saving Mode and have a short warm-up time.

In Australia, the RICOH IP CW2200 as well as IM CW2200 can be purchased now.
