DeAnna Stowers, a Loma Linda resident who worked in printing, died Oct. 12, 2023. Her family was by her side. She was 67.

She was born to Everett Chappell, Fay Chappell (Whitaker), and Charles F. Whitaker on the 51st anniversary of her maternal grandfather’s birthday. She loved to celebrate their birthdays together.

She was the youngest child of three. She spent most of her childhood and adult life in the Inland Empire, and she attended Chaffey High School.

She married Matthew R. Souter in 1976 and gave birth to Megan, their daughter, in 1980. In 1986, the two separated. She married Terry G. Stowers for a second marriage from 1990 until 2001.

She spent 45 years in the printing business, with 25 years at Loma Vista University Printing Service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Chappell, Fay Gorden and Deborah Lawless.

She is survived only by her daughter Megan and son-in law Matthew Hopkins, three grandchildren Jason Brandon and Emily Hopkins, and her brother Donald Chappell.

She will be buried at the Bellevue Memorial Park Mausoleum in Ontario, California. Many of her relatives will also be there.
