Applied Rapid Technologies (ART), will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 27, 2023 to unveil its new 3D printing studio. The open house will take place at the company’s facility at 1130 International Parkway, Suite 127, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22406, where attendees will have the opportunity to meet with ART representatives.

The new showroom will showcase three particular 3D printers – the NXE 400Pro, XiP Desktop Resin, and NXD 200Pro printers – all of which will run demonstrations during the event. These machines can be used for rapid prototyping and manufacturing in a variety of industries, including engineering, medicine, education and dental. The showroom also includes maker space and a training facility as part of the company’s STEM outreach with local students to educate them on additive manufacturing.

“Our state-of-the-art facility is open for customers to visit at any time,” says Bruce LeMaster, ART founder and vice president of manufacturing. “Come see how we help maximize the ideas of clients who need high-quality parts quickly.”

The ceremony is in celebration of ART’s partnership with Nexa3D, a provider of thermoplastic and photopolymer 3D printers with open material platforms. Nexa3D provides industrial and desktop resin 3D printing equipment, as well thermoplastic laser sintering equipment to produce serial quantities.

Abigail Anne Spanberger, U.S. representative from Virginia’s 7th congressional district, will speak at the event about manufacturing in the state. The event will include members of the Stafford County Economic Development Authority and the chamber, along with industry representatives, customers and students from local high and college schools.
