This episode of Inspire Africa features Jerry Fisayo Bimbo and the africanews team bringing you stories about innovation from South Africa, Uganda, and Nigeria.

We begin with the story of John Oseni, a Nigerian teenager tech prodigy. Oseni, who is a computer programmer, has developed many Fintech softwares with his programming skills. We learn about VersusPay, his latest QR code scan to-pay solution. He hopes it can provide viable alternatives for Nigerian payments.

South Africa’s first 3D-printed low-cost construction has been completed. It is possible to build a house using 3D printing in just 24 hours. We hear from the engineers that worked on the project at the School of Civil Engineering, University of Johannesburg.

Our interview segment focuses on the beauty, fashion and modelling industry. We also discuss how stereotypes of the industry are changing. Fisayo-Bambi hosts Judith Heard a Ugandan beauty queen and model. Heard shares how she overcame stereotypes in her early years and how she now uses her success to help young women in her area and the environment.
